Danby Castle is set in the heart of the Yorkshire Moors, with manicured lawns surrounding the Castle ruins, complementing the countryside views. While the Castle itself stands in ruins, the Court Room in the original farmhouse is where ceremonies take place, with the Barn providing the perfect setting for a wedding breakfast and evening reception. You’ve even got a Getting Ready Room to take advantage of; a spacious area with large hair and make-up station with huge mirrors, space to hang dresses or suits and plenty of opportunities for pre-wedding photos.
If you’ve always dreamed of getting married outside you can choose to have an inside/outside ceremony offered by North Yorkshire Registrars. Or enjoy your indoor ceremony in the 16th century Court Room, which can hold up to 90, or in the Barn, which can hold 110. With authentic wooden beams adorned with fairy lights, original 14th century stonework, varnished wooden floor and real wood-burning stove, it’s also where you’ll host your wedding breakfast and evening reception for up to 110 daytime guests and 160 evening guests.
